South Wales Institute of Engineers Educational Trust

Activities

What Is On Offer?

SWIEET2007, a funded Educational Trust, was launched on 1st October 2007. It aims to support young people entering, and practicing, engineering in Wales.

Help will be offered to school age students deciding on career paths, undergraduates on engineering courses, and graduates in their critical first years at work.

Considerable funds from the former South Wales Institute of Engineers, along with some matched funding, will be available to distribute to applicants. This will make the New Trust highly significant funder of young people in Wales.

We Seek To Attract Expressions Of Interest And Applications For Support From Across The Engineering Scene In Wales.

Explanatory events will be held in July and October for young people, their mentors and advisors, to set out what is on offer and how to access these significant funds.

How Do I Apply For It?

By contacting the SWIEET2007 office in Bay Chambers, you can obtain details of the current year’s awards and prizes. If you would indicate your interest – whilst at school – as an undergraduate – or as a young graduate developing a career – that would help us ensure we pass the right information to you.
